Horizons Mental Health Center, a member of the Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System, welcomes five individuals to the organization’s staff.

Susan Rohr has joined the Horizons Mental Health Center staff as a screener in the Clinical Services Department, and will have responsibility for intake assessments along with the center’s Crisis Emergency Services. Rohr received her undergraduate degree from Wichita State University with a master’s degree in social work from the University of Kansas.

Kay Carney has been hired as a Care Coordinator at Horizons Mental Health Center, and in this position, will be the initial point of contact for new patients to assist clients with essential paperwork, and handle receptionist duties at the Center. Carney is a graduate of Mid America Christian University with a degree in Psychology.

Karla Savard, will work in the Financial Control Department of Horizons Mental Health Center to assist clients with payment options.

Amber King has joined Horizons as a Children’s Case Manager for the Reno County area and will work with at-risk children to foster social and independence skills. King is a graduate of Wichita State University with a degree in Anthropology.

Nicole Devaney has been hired as an Intake and Crisis Therapist at Horizons and will work with clients during initial treatment. Devaney is a graduate of John Brown University with a degree in Family and Human Services.

Mike Garrett, Chief Executive Officer of Horizons Mental Health Center said, “We are pleased to have Rohr, Carney, Savard, King, and Devaney join our team of highly qualified staff. Their previous skills and experience will be a great asset in serving those in our community with behavioral and mental health needs.”

Horizons Community-Based Services provides an array of mental health services to children identified as having a serious emotional disturbance (SED) and to their families. The goal is to keep these children in their homes and community, and function at their highest potential.
