The Reno County Commission will consider three items at their meeting Tuesday. Including a KDOT Transportation Grant and verifying the funding source for a local match. The local match totals 468-thousand, 900-dollars. 112-thousand, 600-dollars is coming from the dedicated mill levy and the rest from the county’s general fund.

The commission will also consider an expansion of the R-CAT On Demand service area. This would be for para-transit and call in riders to include the entire county. Currently through a K-DOT grant, it calls for a three mile radius surrounding designated pickup locations in smaller towns. That leaves many county residents excluded by the boundary.

The third item is to consider the bid of 374-thousand, 33-dollars from Wildcat Concrete Services out of Topeka for the bridge rehabilitation on Sego Road over the North Fork of the Ninnescah River, a half mile north of the city of Arlington.

Barbara Lilyhorn, the Director of the Department of Aging and Public Transportation will also be at the meeting to give her monthly update.
