State Files Motions To Revoke Bonds In Three Cases After Latest Arrest

Reno County Jail

One of six people arrested earlier this week after a drug raid on a local home has been ordered held without bond until a hearing can be scheduled over the state filing a motion to revoke the bonds in his other cases. However, the Reno County Jail log shows bonds of 95-thousand.

29-year-old Arthur Adams was arrested for criminal possession of a firearm, criminal use of a firearm, possession of marijuana, possession of morphine and interference with law enforcement. Law enforcement executed a search warrant on the vehicle he was driving. When law enforcement made contact, he allegedly had a bag of marijuana inside his mouth and they claim he tried to eat it. He allegedly had to be physically removed from the vehicle.

Inside the vehicle were numerous zip-lock bags, half of a burned marijuana cigarette and one morphine pill. They also allegedly found a shotgun with the serial numbers scratched off and the barrel had been cut shorter then 16-inches. His bond set at 11-thousand dollars.

But, he has three other cases pending where he’s charged with various crime. In the first case against Adams, he’s charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute drugs, and two counts of no tax stamp. That case goes back to October 18, 2012.

Then he has a charge of possession or marijuana with a prior conviction and criminal possession of a firearm, that being 45-caliber handgun. The third case involves aggravated failure to appear on April 6.

Adams was convicted for felony possession of marijuana back in 2007 and was given community corrections.

He was arrested this week along with Nicholas Buckaloo, Jaylene Welch, Amber Barnes, Zachary Decker and Jeffrey Taapken. All six are awaiting formal charges to be filed against them in that latest case.
