Jeffrey Paulsen, MT (ASCP), has joined the staff at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center as the hospital’s Director of Laboratory Services.

Paulsen, who grew up in Holdrege, Nebraska, received his bachelor’s degree in Comprehensive Biology from the University of Nebraska—Kearney and received a second bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in the school’s Medical Technology Program.

Paulsen will supervise a staff of 30, while directing the everyday functions of the hospital’s laboratory including corporate compliance, regulatory requirements and quality control.

For the past ten years, Paulsen has served as the Laboratory Manager for the Lander Regional Hospital in Lander, Wyoming. Prior to that, Paulsen spent 11 years as Laboratory Manager at the Citizens Medical Center in Colby, following stints at healthcare facilities in Holdrege, Nebraska; Lamar, Colorado; and Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.

Paulsen said he is pleased to be in Hutchinson. He and his wife, Teri, are the parents of two grown children.
