A 33-year-old Hutchinson man was taken to jail Sunday after an altercation where he allegedly pointed and discharged a gun.
Nicholas Espinoza was taken to jail on charges of aggravated assault, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal discharge of a firearm, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
He was arrested around 4:30 p-m, after 20-year-old Jennifer Rutan told police that Espinoza pointed a gun at her. He is also alleged to have fired the gun at some point.
He is free on a 12-thousand dollar bond, which means he’ll make an initial court appearance late in the week.
He was released from Community Corrections back in May for a drug conviction from May of 2011.
