The Chamber of Commerce Membership Breakfast is coming on Wednesday, November 20, sponsored by PrairieLand Partners.
During this breakfast, the Chamber will be honoring three farm-focused families, recognizing their dedication to agriculture and contribution to our community. The breakfast program will feature guest speaker Sam Knipp, “The Voice of Agriculture” from the Oklahoma Farm Bureau.
Raised on a western Kansas farm and ranch, Sam Knipp graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. major in Agricultural Journalism and minor in Agricultural Economics. He also has earned a Master’s of Science in Agricultural Communications from Oklahoma State University.
Knipp worked for radio and TV stations in Kansas and Missouri before joining the Communications department at Kansas Farm Bureau. He later moved to Oklahoma Farm Bureau to direct their communications efforts.
The past three years Knipp has team taught Animal Agriculture Advocacy and Policy in the OSU Animal Science Department. He is an outspoken proponent of humane animal care and believes U.S. animal agriculture is unfairly criticized by anti-agriculture groups.
The cost is $10 per person, or use your 2013 Flash Pass. Non-members are welcome to attend for $15. Please note, if your are using your 2013 Flash Pass to attend an event, you must present the actual Flash Pass at the time of use
