A Hutchinson man arrested after allegedly eluding law enforcement made a first appearance on the charges Tuesday morning where he saw his bond increased by Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen.

Christopher Hall at times seemed emotional during the appearance. He told Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen that he was scared with the potential charges, but says once he stopped the vehicle he was driving, he didn’t resist law enforcement at all.

He faces charges of disorderly conduct, driving while suspended, failure to maintain insurance, an expired license plate and felony flee and elude.

Assistant District Attorney Andrew Davidson stated the bond is low considering the chase and the fact the he went around stop sticks during the incident.

The case started when Hutchinson Police responded to a disturbance around 3:30 a-m Monday morning, and eventually tried to make contact with Hall. He refused to stop his vehicle and the chase began and eventually ended on U-S 50 where he stopped the vehicle and surrendered, this around 4 a-m.

Judge McEwen increased the bond to 5-thousand dollars from the initial 24-hundred and set a status hearing for November 26.
