Hutchinson Regional Medical Center has announced the addition of Surendra Verma, M.D., Radiation Oncologist, to the team at Chalmers Cancer Treatment Center.
Dr. Verma received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from the Government Medical College in Jabalpur, India. He achieved certification from the American Board of Radiation Oncology in 1996. He completed his internship at the Government Medical College Hospital in Jabalpur, India and residencies at the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and the Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation of Nova-Scotia, Halifax.
During the past 15 years, Dr. Verma was associated with several healthcare facilities in western Kansas including St. Catherine’s Hospital in Garden City, Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Hays Medical Center and Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City.
Kevin Miller, F.A.C.H.E., President and CEO of Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System, said Dr. Verma is a great addition to the team of specialists at Chalmers Cancer Treatment Center.
“Dr. Verma has treated hundreds of patients from throughout western Kansas during the past 15 years and is highly respected by his peers in the area of radiation oncology,” Miller said.
“Chalmers Cancer Treatment Center is known throughout the area for its innovative treatments and Dr. Verma will be a great addition to our outstanding team of healthcare professionals,” Miller continued.
