A 60-year-old truck driver from Everest, Kansas was taken to the hospital in Great Bend after he rolled his semi in northern Stafford County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Phillip Nelson was southbound on Southeast 100 Avenue and attempted to negotiate a curve onto Southeast 70th, Rd. He was traveling to fast for the curve and lost control of the semi, causing it roll over on its side. Nelson was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by fireman.

The accident occurring around 8:20 a-m, Friday morning, about 7-miles south of Ellinwood.
