Three people arrested for producing a large number of counterfeit 5 and 20 dollars bills during the month of December have been charged in Reno County Court. 23 year old Melvin Zahn is charged with making false information, conspiracy and Theft by deception. Zahn is accused of helping produce the phoney money which was passed at numerous locations around town. Zahn is also accused of buying a small pick up truck and paying the owner with 42 counterfeit 20-dollar bills.

Also arrested in the case were 37 year old Timothy Miller and 26 year old Ryan Powers. Both are also cahrged with making false information. Miller is also charged with conspiracy while Powers has an additional charge of possession of meth. The three were arrested earlier this month after police started receiving numerous complaints about the funny money. Powers is currently free on bond while Zahn, and Miller remain in the Reno County jail. All three are expected to make another court appearance January 22^nd.
