One of three people suspected in a string of auto burglaries including vehicles belonging to law enforcement, public officials or their family members, and other private citizens was in court Monday morning on a restitution hearing in a separate case.

19-year-old Sheridan Kiraly stipulated to the restitution amount of 3-thousand, 51- dollars for damage to a home and also a school bus.

He was convicted of two counts of burglary, and two counts of theft for breaking into a home in the 7900 block of North Weems where he stole jewelry, guns, swords, alcohol, and games. He also broke into a school bus belonging to USD 308, where he stole a CD and a First Aid kit.

Both crimes occurring on March 28, of this year.

A co-defendant in the other case, 18-year-old Madison Smalling recently entered pleas involving the law enforcement vehicles. She was charged with 10-counts of auto burglary, but entered a plea to just four, while the rest were dropped by the state as part of a plea agreement. The plea coming in front of Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen.

She along with 21-year-old Victor Smith and Kiraly are suspected in being involved in the burglaries involving law enforcement vehicles, with both Smith and Kiraly charged with 16-counts of auto burglaries. Smith is also charged with being in possession of marijuana.

Smith has another drug case, where he’s charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to package, personal use drug paraphernalia and no tax stamp. Also arrested was 19-year-old Michael Kirk. He was charged with possession of marijuana.
