MEDICINE LODGE – A 19-year-old man from Missouri was killed in an accident with a deer in Barber County Monday. Dead is Cephas E. Yoder of Boonville, Mo.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Yoder was westbound on U-S 160 when his vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. He then lost control, hit a guardrail on the southside of the highway and rolled down the embankment. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

The accident occurring around 5:15 a-m Monday morning, about 18.6 miles west of Medicine Lodge.
