Two Suspects In Hazing Case Scheduled For Preliminary Hearing

Two of three students from Hutchinson High School arrested in connection with a hazing incident are scheduled to be in court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.

18-year-old’s Jaiden Casanova, and Kendric Hudson are charged in the case. Casanova is charged with aggravated battery and hazing. Hudson is charged with three counts of aggravated battery and hazing. The crimes occurring on October 30 & 31, of last year and involve two 15-year-old’s and a 14-year-old.

16-year-old Cody Curl was taken to a juvenile facility for aggravated battery and possession of tobacco. His case will be held in the court of Judge Patty Macke-Dick.

The three are accused of using hot coat hangers to brand at least 3 students who had just been promoted to the varsity football team.

The hearing Tuesday is scheduled in front of Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen.
