TOPEKA – Governor Sam Brownback has appointed two men from the area to be a part of the Kansas Propane Education & Research Council. This council is designed to enhance propane safety, education, and training for propane consumers and employees; to improve existing propane technology; to increase the efficiency of propane; and to develop other programs to educate the public about the safety, environmental aspects, and uses of propane.
One of the men appointed is Bradley Thompson, of Hutchinson who has worked at Bridgman Oil Co., Inc. since 1989 and has been in the energy industry for more than 35-years.
He received his associate’s degree from Cloud Community College in Concordia Kansas.
The other is Edward Barrett, of Pratt, who is currently a branch manager at Hampel Oil Distributors. Barrett has more than 25-years of experience in the energy industry.
He earned his B.A. from the University of Dallas.
