Minor train derailment causes some headaches near a Hutchinson grain elevator.

.

Railroad crews were working Thursday morning to restore rail service to the city’s largest grain elevator after three rail cars jumped the tracks.

According to 911 Dispatch, the accident happened just after 5 a-m as a BNSF crew was pushing a line of cars into the ADM elevator near 11th and Halstead.

The cars derailed over a switch in the track. All three cars stayed upright. RJ Coreman, a company specializing in derailments, was brought in to remove the cars.
