WICHITA – A 45-year-old Goddard woman pleaded guilty Monday to stealing $141,500 from the Newton company where she worked, that according to U-S Attorney Barry Grissom.

Diana L. Fasbender entered a guilty plea to one count of wire fraud. She admitted she stole the money last year while she worked as a secretary at Mackey & Sons, Inc., at 1201 Sharps Drive in Newton.

Fasbender made unauthorized purchases totaling approximately 100-hundred thousand dollars on a company credit card. She stole the rest of the money by writing three unauthorized checks on the company’s accounts.

Sentencing in the case is set for Jan. 17.
