The new numbers on sales tax collected by the county again shows the county collected less then the previous month, but more then they collected for the same period last year.

According to County Treasure Jan Hull, the county collected 349-thousand, 906-dollars in April compared with 363-thousand, 344-dollars in March. But that amount is still better then April of last year when the county collected 314-thousand, 214-dollars.

So far, the county has collected 1-million, 507-thousand dollars this year. That beats the same four month period of last year when the county collected 1-million, 430-thousand, 47-dollars.

The April numbers represent February sales in the county.
