GREAT BEND – We now have a trial date for a Great Bend man suspect in the death of a 14-year-old Great Bend girl.

Barton County District Judge Hannelore Kitts has scheduled 10-days in March of next year for the trial of Adam Longoria, which she says in a court filing, will begin on March 26.

The murder case centers on the disappearance of 14-year-old Alicia Debolt who left her Great Bend home late in the evening on Aug. 21 of last year to go to a party, with her family reporting her missing the next afternoon. Her charred body was found a few days later at the asphalt plant where Longoria worked.

Charges include capital murder, attenpted rape, indecent solicitation of a child, theft and burglary, however the state says they will not seek the death penalty, instead seek life in prison with no chance of parole.

Longoria is being housed in the Sedgwick County jail on 1.5-million dollar bond.
