LAWRENCE, KS-Kansas starting point guard Naadir Tharpe is expected to transfer after three years with the Jayhawks.
Tharpe sited medical issues with his daughter as the reason to transfer. The 5-foot-11 Massachusetts native was honorable mention All-Big 12.
Tharpe averaged 8.5 points and five assists as a junior this past season, but his play was inconsistent at times.
Kansas will likely go into next season with sophomores Frank Mason and Conner Frankampbattling for the starting spot. However, Devonte Graham — an unsigned senior point guard who was recently let out of his letter of intent with Appalachian State — will choose between KU and NC State.
