Local business owners should be on the alert of possible funny money being passed around. Apparently, a phoney 100-dollar bill was passed to a local business earlier this month.
So, be aware and check bills to make sure they are real, especially the larger bills.
Also, police say they know nothing about a so called policeman’s yearbook. Someone is apparently making calls trying to sell advertising for this book.
We checked with police and they know nothing about anyone doing that. It could be a scam, so if you get such a call, contact police first before making any commitment, and don’t give any personal information, including social security, or any personal banking info.
If you get such a call, simply tell them, you’re not interested and hang up. Then contact police.
