Photovoltaic Solar System being installed at Hutchinson business

Bold LLC.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Good Energy Solutions, Inc. of Lawrence,s has just signed a contract with Bold, LLC of Hutchinson to construct a photovoltaic solar system on the roof of Bold’s Hutchinson office and warehouse. The project is underway at 1125 E. 4th (formerly the Peel’s Beauty Supply Complex).

At 200 kw, it will be the largest privately held solar power system in the state of Kansas. The solar system’s electrical generation will be equal to that required to supply 25 average homes, and will offset about 80% of BOLD’s electrical usage.

Bob Peel, President of BOLD 3PL, a shipping logistics and warehouse company says, “With this project we as a company can continue to provide more good jobs, meaningful work and a cleaner environment for our employees and our community. In our volatile Kansas weather, it was a great way to prevent power outages for our customers and prevent any down time on our 24 hour shipping guarantee.

“This project is the culmination of seven years of dedication to customer needs and a focus on quality,” says Kevin Good, founder and President of Good Energy Solutions, Inc. “We are delighted to help Bold achieve their energy goals. This project is yet another example of our company’s ability to handle large commercial solar PV projects and back them with long term warranties and service.”

As solar equipment costs have dramatically decreased and electric rates continue to go up, the attractive return on investment allows savvy business owners the ability to use their large open roof space as an additional revenue stream for their business.
