OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The daughter of Hutchinson City Manager, John Deardoff is in an Overland Park hospital after being struck by another vehicle.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 24 year-old, Lacey Deardoff, was struck by eastbound car on I-435 driven by 26-year-old Matthew Gerke of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. 40 year-old Maragurite Issac of Olathe was also hit by the vehicle. Both were taken to Overland Park Regional Hospital for treatment.

Deardoff and Isaac, were standing by a disabled car at the time of the accident.

The accident occurring as Gerke tried to swerve to miss debris from a previous crash. He also struck the disabled car. He wasn’t hurt.

The accident occurring around 6:30 a-m, Saturday morning.
