Reno County Jail

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The two people arrested Tuesday on drug distribution charges did make first appearances Wednesday morning where they were told of potential charges against them.

37-year-old Jennifer Ramsey and 31-year-old Bryan Butler both of 618 North Adams were taken to jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of personal use drug paraphernalia and felony theft. The final charge indicates that they may have been in a stolen vehicle.

The arrest came during a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Plum around 2:15 p-m.

Butler is jailed on a bond of 15-thousand, 250-dollars, while Ramsey has a bond of 18-thousand, 750-dollars. Both requested a reduction of their bonds and both were denied.

They’ll both be back in court next Wednesday for the possible reading of formal charges.
