A corrections to this story, the 35-year-old Hutchinson man who was recently paroled on a burglary case faces trial on Wednesday, not Tuesday for aggravated battery, and misdemeanor theft.

The case against Randall Scott is over the theft of a hot dog, a drink, and chips. He apparently got those items at the Kwik Shop at 5th & Monroe, but allegedly failed to pay for them. He then reportedly got into an altercation with an employee at the store leading to him being charged with aggravated battery. The employee, 40-year-old Christopher Huber alleges that he was battered by Scott.

The incident occurring just after 6 p-m on December 15, of last year, but Scott wasn’t arrested until the next morning.

After that incident, Scott was ordered to prison for violating his community corrections for an attempted burglary case occurring in September of 2009. He was released to what they call post incarceration, but has also been trouble in the past for flee and elude, battery of a law enforcement officer, and non-residential burglary for a cases going back to 2001.

The trial is scheduled to begin Wednesday in front of Judge Trish Rose.
