HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The two people arrested back on May 27 on suspicion of distributing illegal drugs were back in court Wednesday morning where they were read the formal charges against them.

37-year-old Jennifer Ramsey and 31-year-old Bryan Butler are both charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute and no tax stamp. Ramsey is also charged with possession of marijuana and personal use drug paraphernalia. Butler is also charged with possession of stolen property, a Hyundai Tiburon and driving while suspended, an alleged habitual violator.

The complaint indicates they may have been attempting to distribute at least 100-grams of methamphetamine, but less the 1-kilogram.

The arrest of the two came during a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Plum in the middle of the afternoon.

Both are free on bond and will appear in court again on July 8, as part of a waiver-status docket.
