HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The condition of a Colorado woman, critically injured in a fatality accident last weekend, is
improving. 28-year-old Marena Gumber of Palisade, Colo., has been upgraded to “fair” condition at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Gumber was injured in an accident in which 28-year-old Homer Beebe failed to yield at the intersection of 11th and Main and hit a pick up driven by 34-year-old Pedro Perez, who died in the accident.
Beebe fled from the scene on foot, but was arrested later on charges of failing to report a fatality accident and leaving the scene of an fatality accident. More serious charges could be filed following an investigation and results of toxicology tests
The accident occurred around 1:50 a.m. Sunday morning.
