Prelim Tuesday in kidnapping case

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Hutchinson man jailed on charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault and interference with law Todd Lloyd 2enforcement has a preliminary hearing Tuesday morning in Reno County District Court.

Todd Lloyd is accused of holding his girlfriend at knife point in front of several police officers, after he tried to elude community corrections personnel who wanted him taken into custody.

One officer stated that, had he been able to get a clean shot, he would have shot Lloyd in the head. Instead, they were able to tase him and get him into custody.

If convicted of the kidnapping, Lloyd could face 18-23 years in prison.
