GAS, Kan- A Kansas man was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in Allen County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Chevy Suburban driven by Joab W. Barr, 25, Chanute, was stationary facing westbound in the center lane of U.S. 54 and Taylor Street in the city of Gas.

The Suburban attempted a U-turn and did not yield to a 2012 Chevy Cruze. The two vehicles collided in the eastbound lane.

The driver of the Cruze Frances M. Williams, 77, Iola, was transported to Allen County Hospital. Barr was not injured.

The KHP reported both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
