Kidnapping hearing continued

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A man accused of beating and kidnapping charges had his preliminary hearing continued in James DeanReno County District Court. Wednesday afternoon.

James Dean of Hutchinson, faces charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary, aggravated battery and criminal possession of a firearm.

He’s accused of the February 28th beating of 50-year-old David Crossman. Dean is accused of entering Crossman’s home uninvited, forcing from the home and then beating him with a baseball bat.

The hearing is now set for July 16th .
