HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Although its no longer on the Dow Jones Industrial Average, Alcoa is still watched closely as
the next quarterly earnings reports kick off tomorrow. Alcoa usually leads the way, and is watched with interest since it manufacturers aluminum for everything from soda cans to passenger jets.
Analysts expect Alcoa to report earnings of $.12 per share for the period ending June 30th, compared with $.07 per share last year. Despite that gain the company is expecting to see revenue decline by 4.1% to $5.61 billion dollars. That’s down from the $5.85 billion set one year ago.
