CHENEY – A 59-year-old Colorado Springs man was taken to a Wichita Hospital after one vehicle accident near Cheney in Kingman County on Thursday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Arthur Mulch was westbound on U-S 54 and apparently left the roadway, entered the median, then vaulted into the air, overturning his SUV twice.

He was wearing a seatbelt, but was injured bad enough, that he was taken to Via-Cristi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.

The accident occurring around 5:30 p-m Thursday about 7-miles from the city of Cheney.
