HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Police were put on a scary situation Monday night in dealing with a woman and her children.

Authorities were called to the 200 block of South Plum after a woman reported she was concerned for the welfare of some children and a woman inside a home. When authorities arrived, they found 22-year-old Michelle Taylor and three children running naked down the street. Police were forced to subdue the woman who at one point allegedly struck an officer in the face twice. She’s also alleged to have tried to reach for another officers side arm. She had to be tased and was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for observation before she was taken to the Reno County jail.

Potential charges includes aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer, battery of a law enforcement officer, criminal damage to property, assault of a law enforcement officer, interference with law enforcement and child endangerment.

In court Tuesday morning, she asked for a reduction of her $11,850 bond which was opposed by the state and then denied by Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen.

She’ll be back in court on July 30, for a status hearing where the state is expected to have formal charges filed.
