HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Emergency responders from around the area joined with Enterprise Products Partners in an
emergency response drill at its underground storage facility southwest of Hutchinson Wednesday morning.
The drill simulated a release of natural gas liquids from the Enterprise terminal. A variety of personnel and equipment—including several fire engines, hazmat teams and environmental contractors—mobilized this morning to make sure their plan of action in such an event was sufficient
After the drill, participants will hold a tabletop discussion to analyze their performance and look for opportunities where improvements can be made.
Enterprise conducts similar drills throughout the country each year to assess the company’s readiness in case of an emergency and coordinate with local emergency responders.
