HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Authorities were forced to close off the intersection of 17th Avenue and Severance after a gas line was ruptured Saturday morning.

According to Hutchinson Fire, the line was hit by someone digging post holes for a fence when he hit the line around 10:30. Crews were able to make repairs to the line and the intersection was opened again in about an hour.

No injuries were reported with the incident.
