TURON, Kan. — You may be familiar with Harvest Farm & Pumpkin Patch down in Turon. They have announced on their website and Facebook that they will be closed for the 2014 season. They say a number of factors led them to the decision, including changing work schedules, health issues, and family schedules, as well as a failed pumpkin crop.

They say they don’t feel they can meet the standard customers have come to expect at the farm near Turon. They plan to take a break, refresh and reevaluate where they go from here.

The announcement came on their website and also Facebook, so don’t drive all the way out to Turon, only to discover they aren’t open. This would have been their 11th year.
