MCPHERSON, Kan. — Two people were taken to the hospital in McPherson Thursday after a two vehicle accident on U-S 56, at the I-135 junction.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 36-year-old Jennifer Marie Hunt of Galva was eastbound on U-S 56, when a vehicle driven by 81-year-old Lois M. Reilly of McPherson failed to yield. Her vehicle was then struck on the drivers side door by the vehicle driven by Hunt.

Both were transported to McPherson Hospital for treatment.

The accident occurring around 4:40 p.m., on the east edge of McPherson.
