PRATT, Kan. — County Fire, Rescue, and Sheriff’s Officers were dispatched to the area of Lake Road and Country Club Road near Pratt Tuesday afternoon on the report of an electrocution. .

A 58-year-old male apparently came into contact with a 7,200 volt power line while using a bucket truck. The man was transported to Pratt Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The name of the victim is being withheld at this time, pending notification of his family.

The call coming in around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

The case is being investigated by the Pratt County Sheriff’s Office.
