Reno County Sheriff Deputies were called to the intersection of 95th and Plum in northern Reno County about 10:30 p-m Wednesday night.

61-year-old Harold Wegner, of Inman was driving his F-150 pickup northbound on Plum and struck a cow that was standing in the roadway.

Wegner was transported by Reno County EMS to Promise Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries that were not believed to be serious.

The cow belonged to Leonard Zahn, of Hutchinson and was killed.
