HUTCHINSON, Kan. — If you had an early morning commute, or were on that long run,  you got a great look at the total lunar eclipse.

That’s when the earth passes between the sun and the moon, turning the moon dark red or even a very dark brown. The full eclipse occurred throughout the morning in Kansas, and was visible until sunrise.

The next total eclipse visible in the U.S. will take place Sept. 28th 2015. The next total solar eclipse, where the moon passes between the sun and earth, will be visible in the U.S. and take place Aug. 21, 2017.
