Accident north of Hutchinson injures four

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Four people, including two kids from McPherson, were taken to the hospital in Hutchinson after a two-vehicle crash on K-61 north of Hutchinson Friday night.

The accident occurred when 26-year-old Kody D. Pulliam of Anthony, who was northbound, attempted to make a u-turn through the median and pulled in front of a southbound vehicle driven by 48-year-old Kenneth Gawanda of McPherson. Gawanda’s vehicle then struck Pulliam’s.

Gawanda and his three passengers, 33-year-old Celeste Burger, 5-year-old Matthew Burger and 11-year-old Ethan Burger, were all transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m., about four miles north of Hutchinson.
