Johnson County man indicted on charges of producing child porn

TOPEKA – A 30-year-old Johnson County man has been indicted on charges of persuading a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct in order to produce child pornography.

Steven Miller of Shawnee, Kansas, is charged with two counts of persuading a minor to engage in sexually explicit activity in order to produce child pornography. The indictment alleges Miller used an Olympus camera to produce child porn on Aug. 30, 2003, and Sept. 23, 2003, in Overland Park.

If convicted, he faces a penalty of not less than 15-years and not more than 30-years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000 on each count.
