HUTCHINSON, Kan. —  She served most of her legislative career as a Democrat, now Jan Pauls has won the election again as a Republican in the 102 House District with a close win over Brian Davis Tuesday night.

The results were delayed until early morning due to an equipment malfunction at the County Clerk’s Office. In the end, Pauls defeated Davis 2,105 votes to 1,830.

Pauls changed parties over her beliefs in pro-life and her opposition to same-sex marriage.
