Hutchinson School Board hosts community linkage event

The public is invited to provide input to the Hutchinson School Board at a listening event on Nov. 28, 2011, 5:30 p.m., at the district’s Administration Center, 1520 North Plum.

The listening event, known as a “linkage,” provides the public a formal opportunity to meet with board members and provide input on district matters. The linkage is an extension of the opportunities provided at the semimonthly Board meetings.

During the event, the board will have a series of questions about district programs and activities to gain input from the public. The board is especially interested in hearing patrons’ views on the Hutchinson Recreation Commission’s tax base.

In the past, these more formal opportunities for discussion have included meetings with high school and middle school students, with staff members and with members of the public who served on the Blue and Red Ribbon Committees for the 2006 bond issue.
