HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Fire Units responded to the 1800 block of East 4th, at the Buggy Shop, for a structure fire Tuesday. When they arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from all sides of the building, including the attic.

The fire was controlled in ten minutes with units on scene for two hours. Preliminary damage is estimated at $25,000 with heavy fire damage contained to the attic space.

The cause of the fire appears to be a wood stove that was in an enclosed space outside the business. The business was not occupied at the time and no one was injured.

The fire was reported around 2:55 p.m.
