HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Icy roads are to blame for a one-vehicle accident that injured a Hutchinson teen.

The Reno County Sheriffs Office reports that 17-year-old Sharon Lohr was going west in the 6900 block of East 4th when her vehicle hit a slick spot, then went backwards into the ditch before striking a tree. The car then spun around before coming to rest on a dry drainage ditch. Lohr was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

The accident happened around 3:45 Sunday afternoon.
