HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen has announced that he will retire from his position effective July 10. He has been Magistrate Judge for seven and half years according to what he told us Tuesday afternoon. Prior to that, he was in private practice.

He says his retirement will be effective on July 1.

That means there will be an opening for that position. It is an elected position.
