A 36-year-old Hutchinson man finds himself with some serious charges after he was stopped by Hutchinson Police at 6 th & Keast.

They quickly discovered that Troy Harris had a warrant through municipal court for failing to appeara for a charge of driving while suspended.

That led to the search of his vehicle and they allegedly found items consistent with drugs. They then struggled to get him into custody leading to a charge of aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer.

Other charges include obstruction, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He made a first appearance on the charges Tuesday morning and Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen and bond is set at 31-thousand, 500-dollars.

The arrest coming just before 3 p-m on Monday afternoon.

Harris is no stranger to the law having served time for drugs in 2005, and indecent liberties with a child in 1992.
