PRATT, Kan. – Authorities have identified the woman killed in a two-vehicle accident near Pratt over the weekend.

The Pratt county Sheriff’s Office says 87-year-old Velma Base of Garden City was driving on US-54 when she crossed the center line and hit a car driven by 52-year-old Sang Ngoc To, also of Garden City. Base was pronounced dead at the scene while Ngoc To and a passenger, 52-year-old Que Thi Nguyen, were both taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities say the weather was a likely factor in the crash, which happened just after noon Saturday.
