SALINA – A 47-year-old Salina man was arrested on numerous sex charges for being sexually involved with a young girl for several years.

Daryl Wayne Armstrong faces charges of rape, aggravated indecent liberties with a child, indecent liberties with a child, aggravated criminal sodomy, and criminal sodomy.

Salina Police Lt. Scott Siemsen says an investigation began in January after a family member of the victim contacted the police.

After a review by the Saline County Attorney’s Office, a warrant for arrest was issued and Armstrong was arrested Thursday.

He was released after a bond was posted.
