HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A Hutchinson man was taken to a Wichita hospital after a one-vehicle accident in the city Monday afternoon.

Hutchinson Police report that 92-year-old Melvin Rhoades was driving when he apparently lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree, causing his vehicle to roll over.

Rhoades was taken by Midwest Lifeteam helicopter to Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita for treatment.

The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m.
